Greetings from my Butterfly Classroom

Hello, I am a five year old boy from the Butterfly class at the Children’s House Montessori School. Each morning when I arrive at school, I greet my teachers and my friends. Immediately, I like to choose a Practical life exercise, my favorite is washing the table. I have learned how to do many things in this area such as how to pour water carefully, tie my shoes, peel and cut and serve fruit to my friends.

Every day I have many choices to make. I like my class because I can do lots of different work by myself and I am very excited when I am chosen to be  “young teacher” to the new children who join us.

When the chimes ring, we all put our work away quietly and go to the circle. We sing songs, tell stories and learn about new things from our teacher, sometimes I even can read a short story to my friends. Many of the boys and girls are from all around the world and sometimes at circle time we learn different words like “Bonjour”, “Shalom”, ”Guten Tag” and ”Ni hao”.

Sometimes I go to art, music, cooking and movement classes and we have begun Reception class that will help me get used to big school when I am six years of age.

I feel happy when I learn new things and my friends and teachers are very special to me in the Butterfly Class.
